i tryed that code and it work for my Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition . It doesn't show the purchase date though, just blank.

serial number - xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Made - 12/20/06
Purchansing date - mmyyyy
Repaired - mmyyyy
Life timer - 0181:00

doesnt work in n70

I tried it on Nokia 3230.
It said Phone operation:Timeout.

This code doesn't work well on all models ...In N70 it will only give the life timer

You can just take the phone to Priority center and show them the phone there itself they'll check for the warranty and if there is no warranty they'll tell you right away and give you the estimate for the repairs too.

Yeah.They check the warranty on pc & will tell you rightaway.
