I suppose that you dont want a Monitor cum TV.

I want monitor which I want to use as TV as well. As far as I know, I will have to have external TV tuner for this to work. By the way how will be TV cum Monitor option. I think I will not have good resolution if I go for TV cum Monitor option. This is why I am more inclined towards Monitor which can be used as TV using external TV tuner. I am open for other options if available.

just buy any monitor with HDmi port.. and get a digital set top box that has hdmi port then you can directly use your STB with standard and digital plans.. no need to spend on external converters
