cute.bandar Original post #1 Mar 13, 2012 at 1:32 PM personally I am very excited about this. It may still take decades for it to come to India. But still, it sounds totally life changing, atleast to me. Also see this: the process to make self driving cars legal has already begun. Your thoughts ?
thetechfreak #2 Mar 13, 2012 at 5:34 PM I know this has been testing for long. but its not gonna work in India.
theserpent #4 Mar 13, 2012 at 5:46 PM No it wont work in a country where a two lane road becomes a 4 lane road.It would be a fail
R rajeevk #5 Mar 13, 2012 at 6:18 PM This is exciting for sure but no chance of getting success here.
baccilus #6 Mar 13, 2012 at 7:44 PM Well I see this being compulsory 20-25 years down the line, at least in all the developed countries. There will no longer be any road accidents.

thatsashok #10 Mar 14, 2012 at 1:29 AM Well its a car after all........it can run on any average road otherwise no point in making one
Sarath #11 Mar 14, 2012 at 1:43 AM I would rather see this technology on public transport than a private one. I would never let someone else to drive my car, let alone let the car drive itself. But promising technology. I would like driver aids to come up in cars first, but those are restricted to super expensive cars for now. But nice to see this tech. Awesome !
Desmond #12 Mar 14, 2012 at 11:22 AM The way Google is spreading its tentacles everywhere.....its scary. Nice tech though.
abhidev #13 Mar 14, 2012 at 11:24 AM its gr8 if your travelling long distance and are too tired or sleepy to drive...switch auto-drive...goto sleep...get up...back to manual driving.
Desmond #14 Mar 14, 2012 at 11:42 AM However, I am not optimistic whether this will workout. Take a look at this: Internet Evolution - The Big Report - Google's Mounting Trash Pile
doomgiver #15 Mar 14, 2012 at 4:42 PM google is the epitome of a business gone bad. they started out so well. now all they care about is revenues and ads. the consumer is left to rot.
V Virus #16 Mar 14, 2012 at 7:48 PM I think the project is very old. Google won the DARPA Grand Challenge ... see this link I saw the telecast of this DARPA Grand Challenge on TV. It was very nice and exciting...
cute.bandar #17 Mar 15, 2012 at 11:58 AM project is old, but the new thing AFAIK is that its running on public roads now. And its achieved over 200,000 miles on public roads without a single accident. Which is totally awesome!
