svenkat.... looks like we both found this thing at same time...
I also posted same thing here *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8468

I like the Google Desktop Engine... AOL is also creating same kind of stuff...

I think MS shud include these Desktop engines with LH or next SP of XP like it did with Media Stores with WMP 10... (I know its imposible.. just a wish ;-) )

Dude, this is freakin awesome...!
Google's Ultra Fast search for ur desktop...
and the beauty is that it even indexes Y! mail... (No Clue when or where)...

But its still not perfect...
few cons.
It cant search gmail (would have made my job easier)
It cant Do a search Y! messenger..
It cant do a serch on FireFox history..

But then again its in beta, maybe they might add these functionality in the later series....

I really wanted something of this kind. And I am happy with what is does.
Interesting thing is that I have a 20 GB disk now imagine having 200 GB + disks.
So I think itz really a cool tool. I will give Copernicus a try.:D :)

Google Desktop is best coz it scans inside the files for text ...
Like it scanned all my MSN saved chat logs whe i searched for a name ... and the result was in 10 PGS !!

so its too good if u hav a huge HDD as most of us have ...

I have 100 GB !!
