Google to launch Nexus 7 variant for only $99 before the year end

Google is supposedly readying a version of their Nexus 7 tablet for only $99.

This is coupled with news of another Nexus 7 model which is expected to retail for the Nexus 7′s current price of $199.

Both versions will supposedly be thinner than the current model, and feature TN panel display technology made by HannStar Display.

Incidentally, HannStar has reportedly become part of Apple’s supply chain for the iPad, though the Taiwanese-based panel manufacturer has yet to confirm that it’s working with either tech giant.

Both new Nexus 7 models are expected to hit stores before the end of 2012, and if the rumors are true, we expect a $99 Nexus tablet to make a great stocking stuffer.

That is the only concern. it may very well turn out to be 9999 when it hits the Indian shore.

I don't think any nexus device will come to india officially. We all have to get the imported devices for nexus.

Asus stated Nexus 7 will be launched here by November. Today it got launched in Singapore. But the price will remain high but lower than Galaxy Tabs.

I will get one if 8 GB version will launch under 15-16k officially.

I know about that deal. I am talking about official release of nexus 7 in india with warranty and all.

the site says it has 1yr manufacturer warranty but won't be surprised if Asus rejects a defective item saying it is not officially introduced here. Better to wait and once it is in, should be priced much lower than HS18.

Yea! I am waiting from months but have no idea when will it get official release. You said it will be in november.. where you read about that?

8 gb is very less.Many reports say it's not enough only 4-5 gb is usable
