so GOTY 2014 goes to Dragon Age : Inquisition

Source: The Game Awards 2014: And the Winners are... : PERSONAL TECH : Tech Times

Best Shooter: Far Cry 4 and 1st runner up is Destiny
Best Action/Adventure: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Best Role-Playing Game: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Best Mobile/Handheld Game: Heartstone
Best Score/Soundtrack and Best Online Experience: Destiny
Best Independent Game: Shovel Knight

basically the list shouts out loud "what works for everyone".

2 games that at least deserves a mention in every list: Wolfenstein - The New Order & This War of Mine.

Agree, especially This War Of Mine.. very very amazing game and excellent pricing in GoG

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor being a new IP, taken the gaming world by storm.

So true. These awards are so predictable that it seems like pickers are paid by publishers. Divinity Original Sin also don't have any mention.
