Has anyone tried updating his SE w810i software through the update service via PC. I am wondering if it's safe completely(no risk of any damage to the phone). help...

you hafta turn the phone off, remove the sim and memory card and press and hold C button and plug in the usb connector. the phone now works in flash mode and u can install the drivers and continue wid the flashing. u hafta follow similar procedure to update the firmware too.
