HDD not working & need new hdd

~17k, no intention of buying ssd because for gaming & huge video compositions (After effects & Nuke) i need lots of space

i disconnected hdd since it take lots of time to boot the computer.since at the beginning it starts the chkdsk & then it fails to initialize because of master file table or something like that.

if the HDD is within warranty period RMA it.

For 17k : 4TB drive costs a lot so if you are opting 2TB WD Black at 10k yu can't get a 4TB drive with 17k - instead you can get a 3TB drive at 8-8.2k though.

You wont get enough speed compared to an internal drive.

WD 1TB Black anyday.

But if you don't need the extra speed, blue is equally good.

then i'll buy 1tb wd black & tell me which hdd is more reliable seagate backup plus 4tb or wd red 3tb + external casing (i need it as a back up drive for storing software & project (Not going for raid just gonna copy project data every 3 or 4 days)) & which casing should i buy to attach hdd as a external hdd. is any cheap external casing will fit for job?

you better buy that seagate backup plus 4TB if an external HDD is what you need.
