Each time i try to save dem....an error msg pops out saying....
"Cannot create <system file>" (where system file resembles the system file being saved)

Is it that the file is in use?Try copy-pasting the file to a diff location and then editing the copy.

Try doing it "offline"..eg boot from a win98 cd and then copy the edited file to the original location.
But whatever you do,save a copy of the original file,to recover in case you mess it up.

I got the solution..!

I got the solution accidently....
Actully wat ws happening is OS ws creating another system file with name
<system file name>_original.<extension> Where system file name represents the file edited...
'coz of dis only.....the file ws nt getting saved..
Once i deleted it.....
Saving process ws successful..!
