my earlier config was like this---
asus A8NE
amd athlon 3000+
xfx nvidia geforce 256 mb 6600GTcard
512mb*2 RAM
160 gb hdd
450 watts smps
dvd writer
cdwriter
2.1 speakers

as i want to upgrade my pc cos my mobo suddenly stop working as as soon i boot it,beeps come and no display on monitor....also my budget is around 30,000 rs and want to build a rig step by step which will be future proof for 2 years as i am into moderate gaming and online too.

new config--
core 2 duo e8400
asus p5q pro
palit hd 4850 512 mb sonic card

my question is can i used my earlier ram and hard drive into this new config. also will i have to upgrade my smps as it was non- branded earlier and do i need some coolers too??
please let me know how all these things will cost me and guide me pls
regards

E8400: 8.5k
ASUS P5Q Pro: Rs.8.5k-9k
2x2Gb DDR2 800MHz : Around Rs.3.5k
Sapphire HD4850: 10k

But for HD4850 you need atleast a 500W SMPS. Save by getting MSI P45 Neo-F for 5.5k and get Extreme Power 600W for 3.5k

+1 to desiibond's suggestions.
And if you want to sell a 6600GT, then don't expect more than 1K for it.
