Hi, friends

I really need you help as i want to purchase a netbook/laptop for my work/study.
i have just got a job as network engineer and i need something portable that i can use and study/enjoy as well.

My basic requirements are very limited as i have a quad core computer at home so i need a portable which is cost effective and can help me out during my work .
So, getting back to my requirements.. hmm they are net-surfing, working on servers which i will be installing virtually on vmware or any other virtualization software, reading eBooks, emails and watching hi-def ( hd ) movies and episodes of diff series.

Currently my budget is 25k, please suggest me if that can be achieved in in my current budget or if possible i will try to increase it :( which is currently very difficult.

Help me out guys pl.

thnx

Since you will be using visualization softwares like VMWare, I guess the processor should support either Intel VT-x or AMD-V technology.
None of the Nettop with Intel Atom processor has support for VT-x and Laptops will lead to increase in weight and decrease in portability.

Here AMD and HP can help, HP DM1 3000 comes with AMD Zacate E-350 APU which has AMD-v support and iis powerful enough to handle HD videos.
HP Pavilion DM1 3000

P.S. - I'm not advertising HP :-D It's the only option I found with Zacate E-350.
