well as far as i know all you need is a LAN connection between two computers.
feed your internet connection to one computer & share it over lan.
to enable sharing u need to open your connection settings & mark the field "allow network user to share internet connection"
u need to open both PC only to access internet over second computer(shared one)....

alternatively u can use a switch to do same job.
The only advantage in latter case is u need not open both computer to accesss internet

Follow this tutorial by raven : *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15577&highlight=sharing+internet+connection

If its just 2 computers then you dont need a hub/switch.Since its a dataone connection incase the dataone router doesnt have ports to add more computers then you will have to get a hub/switch.Get UTP CAT5 cable of appropriate length & follow the instructions given in the tutorial & you should be just fine.

alternatively u can use a switch to do same job.
The only advantage in latter case is u need not open both computer to accesss internet
Thats not correct.I think you meant to say ROUTER.
A switch is just a multi-port repeater providing ports for the addition of more computers.
