my pc config.
1) UPS APC 600 VA
2) DVD WRITER 24X LG OEM SATA
3) AMD FX 8-CORE 8350 CPU BLACK EDITION
4) AMD M\B ASUS M5A97
5) WESTERN DIGITAL 1 TERABYTE SATA HDD
6) DISPLAY CARD PCI EXPRESS 1GB HD7750ATI SAPPHIRE
7) SMPS COOLER MASTER 600W
8) 8GB DDR3 CORSAIR 1333 RAM - (4x2)
9) CABINET COOLER MASTER ELITE 310
10) FAN CABINET BIG

okay so there is things now happening, and now i am worried );

so installed everything i needed. Grassvalley Edius6.64bit After Effects cs6.64bit etc. etc.
so first BSOD was like 20 days ago. i thought it must be heated up the GPU and caused so i ignored it.
as after effect was rendering some heavy shits like full 1920 2minutes compositions since last 4 hours when this happened.

now all of my softwares even system utilities like AMD Center or something. and GPU Control settings
everything is corrupted i get direct this following errors.
1.jpg

i think it can be faulty RAM so trying to run memtest thing from USB drive and it was interrupted 6 times.
it takes time for running scan over 8GB so i thought i should remove 1 RAM Stick and run scan on 1 stick first then 2nd one.
so when i remove 1stick it just doesn't bootup? nothing CPU, fan GPU starts i can see fan spinning but nothing on screen.
when i put both sticks it boots up just fine. (still gets above errors though)

kept it pressed for like 2 minutes still nothing happened that small black button which is called memOK i think.

I have no clue about it's solution. Try to find a shop whose business has not been ruined by you and get 2 ram sticks from them and ask them to take it back after a few hours :p

When this happens to me, a clean OS reinstall usually solved the problem along with cleaning of the system. :)

Thats what i did before too. works for like 2 days and same thing happens.

i hope you tried each ram stick in every ram slot.

Yes, tried 1 stick on all ram slots didn't work.

searched around TDF and seems like topgear had the same issue.

It's pretty unusual that your motherboard doesn't boot up with a single RAM stick. I suggest get in contact with the Asus CC reps, and check out whether it is the case with this particular mobo?

Lol...
OP did you check with the other RAM . Ex let two RAMs be A and B , did you test only with A or only with B.

have PM'd topgear.
tomorrow morning going to meet my hardware friends from other city. :)

helping people for free and still they think there is some sort of catch behind it. like by helping them for free, we will gain something out of it. lol i can just keep going with my experiences with such peoples.

So "ye toh hona hi tha tumne pucha bhi toh kis-se
You got it wrong bro. She wanted to get her laptop formatted for which a shopkeeper was charging 250; so I said to her that I can formate her laptop for free on which she suspected. Why would I ask a girl to to format my laptop?

clear CMOS setting .. completely power off the pc, remove the psu cable, remove the CMOS battery and make use of the jumper to clear CMOS settings completely .. consult motherboard manul for proper instruction .. once done provide power to the pc again but instead of using the cabinet's power button turn on the system using the memok button.

dude thats what works. thanks for the reply but i figured it out before reading your reply :p
there is small jumper on motherboard remove it and as you said power it up without using power button on cabinet.

now working on 1 RAM Stick. will do the scan as i get some time.
other things i noticed is that my windows may be corrupted as Task Manager and RegEdit are not working! so must be infected
going to do full format with different DVD. and let see how it goes. but i am still pretty sure one of the RAM sticks is corrupted.
as it shows RAM Address 01425somehex numbers not able to read it.

if possible do re-mount the cpu .. can't say for sure but sometime re-installing the cpu properly just fix memory related issues and run memtest86+ from a bootable CD .. it's better than windows default memory diagnostic tool.

did a full scan with Quick heal installed and virus problem.
software i got from my vendor was infected with some shits.
called him and he send me new copy of it non-infected.

now working fine but had BSOD for like 3 times during rendering which was not that big render. it was 16 sec. video.
sorry for late reply :p

still not happy with the machine performance.
spent 60k LOL and i don't feel like i am using 8GB ram machine with 4GHZ proccy.

which/what type benchmark/software should i run to check the PC performance?

P.S. @topgear you still rem. the key i sent you for windows 7? just want to know if it's still working?

I don't remember exactly buy you did send me some MSDN keys, Right ? Well I've not used them so you may try ;-) and installing a copy of windows 7 does not need a SN - just install it as a trial version and activate later..

BTW, Did you scan the ram modules using memtest86+ from a bootable CD and Quick Heal is not a great piece of app .. if your pc passes the memtest86+ test do the following :

1. Download a iso trial version of win 7 and make a DVD to install windows.
2. Format your HDD completely and Install windows. ( don't connect to the net )
3. Donwload a Bootable iso version of Avira/AVG/Bit Defender .. make a bootable CD and scan your system ( whole HDD ) with it.

4. Download or obtain IBT**/PoV Ray/3DMark 13 and some other game benchmark tools from guru3d .. make sure they are virus free and install and run them.
OR
5. Download a linux distro such as stresslinux** ( make sure you have enough ventilation in the cabinet and know what you are doing ) and stress test your pc.

1. Downloaded Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit from Reliable source to make sure it's clean. (Digital River links)
2. formatted and installed fresh copy of Win 7.
3. before i install anything else i downloaded Quick Heal Total Security latest one from their site around 350+MB
4. then searched for .exe files on other drives and deleted everything. not a single piece of application left except the software setup files which
are 40+GB got from software vendor then did a full scan of all drives.
5. installed motherboard and other shits.

and now my soft-wares are working fine except the rendering process as i said got BSOD screen few times.
i haven't tested my RAM modules as i don't get CLOSE APPLICATION WINDOWS on startup so now i think it was virus problem.
but if you want to be sure i can do a scan with mem+

Yes, i have installed Backtrack 5 R3 as secondary OS, planning to upgrade to Kali.
and i will do the benchmark thing using 3D Mark.

played COD4 demo and i started liking it and demo expired and now it doesn't shoot any bullet LOL.
and will post back with 3d benchmark software results.

i was just asking about the key as my msdn account is expiring on 13th May so i think key will stop working ?

now which software is that large ? 40+GB ? and Quick Heal is not a great piece of AV app .. you should have deleted all of the HDD partitions just to be sure there is not any malware left as some virus can hide them into partition table and viruses not only infect exe files but they can attach themselves with other files as well - most dangerous is the polymorphic virus they are very hard to detect. Anyway, do the needful just to be sure and run a couuple of system stress test/video encoding on the linux part.

Coming to the MSDN keys I think they work like retail keys and won't expire ( with your MSDN subscription ) unless someone else has used them ;-) but people with MSDN acc can give you a better answer on this.

@op; backup ALL of your important (just the important data), delete all the partitions, re-install windows 7 and run norton power fraser from safe mode.
