Why not include Redmi Note 5 and Realme 1 for this comparison?
Also, take pixels and s9/s9+ as a baseline and give some relative analysis on picture quality.

Megapixels dont make cameras automatically better.

Redmi y2 is particularly strong with its selfie camera. The Redmi Y2 features a 16-megapixel selfie shooter, and incorporates “Super Pixel” technology that combines four pixels into one large pixel. The selfie camera also uses AI algorithm to enhance skin tone and deliver blurred background.

In comparison, both Realme 1 and Honor 7C come with an 8-megapixel sensor.

Try to use gcam on both (to eliminate software bottleneck) and then compare the picture quality.

Not only spec wise, the most important thing that ximi has and honor doesnt have, is dev support.
The dev pages on xda for Xiaomi devices has so much activity its crazy.
If honor manages to bring in dev support like xiami and provide good camera and battery, Id switch in a heartbeat

They were trying to give dev support (Team OpenKirin opens website to support all EMUI 8 Huawei/Honor devices) but for who knows what reason are now trying to lock everybody to EMUI. 5 days left till their bootloader unlocking request site is alive.

You can't compare cameras by taking photos by one phone in India and by other is some other country. Take side by side photos.

Both the phones are tough competitors but I feel Honor 7C feels reasonably sleek and Premium then Xiaomi Y2. The blue variant is very unique and distinctive. It's more durable then Xiaomi Y2 and it offers more value for money with its loaded features.

Now a days if we talk about budjet handset's cameras, they perform well in day light but if we talk about low light shots then the actual capability of camera is taken into consideration. Therefore I feel the rear camera of 7c struggles in low light but it's selfie camera performs little bit better as it has got the soft light led which creates the illuminating effect in its shots captured.

Bro if companies give good night phone camera in 10000 price, why people will buy expensive phones then?

U r right bro, but in today's era technology is advancing at a very fast speed, for eg Face Unlock, Dual Camera setup, Heavily packed batteries, Notch and Infinity display which you can now get in budget phones like Samsung Galaxy J7,J8,A6,A6 plus,Vivo V9,Oppo F5,F7 etc. Due to tough competition Chinese manufacturers are bringing remarkable technogical advancements at a low price. If they can market a Dual Camera setup, Face Unlock feature setup and Notch/Infinity display setup mobile handsets why can't they manufacture a phone with a good Low Light Camera in aprice range from 10k to 14k

budget phones like Samsung Galaxy J7,J8,A6,A6 plus,Vivo V9,Oppo F5,F7 etc.
All those are crap and/or overpriced and shouldn't even be in markets.
Stupid people keep buying them for reasons unknown.

The Vivo v9 is too bad in specs at its price segment why do even people buy the phone my friend bought it and it's bokeh mode doesn't quite do it perfectly
Oppo vivo phones sell in India just because of marketing. They don't have anything else that could compel people to buy their phones.

The imaging department is where the Redmi Y2 outshines the competition. It uses a 12MP+5MP dual-camera at the back that uses phase-detection autofocus and is aided by dual-tone LED flash. The front sports a 16MP sensor that is accompanied by an LED flash and comes with AI Beautify 4.0 that has been “fine-tuned” for Indian consumers. Both the front and rear cameras support AI portrait modes with improved bokeh effects.

the Honor 7C is slightly smaller, weighs 164 gm, and has more rounded edges. The Redmi Y2 weighs 170 gm, has a groove along the side panel for better grip quality and more prominent antenna bands, on the lines of a flagship HTC smartphone. The good news is that both phones have a dedicated microSD slot, allowing users to access the dual SIM slots and expandable memory simultaneously
