hey frnds.......
how can i chat on lan wihout using any additional software...
all the computers on lan have window xp peofessional.

hi,

friend using winchat

windows allready have this application just type in run command
and access software winchat.

use "net send < message >" command in Run > CMD

type net send /? for more options

actually "net send" followed by machine name or IP followed by message ...

however winchat is more user friendly :cool:

I suggest you use "IP Messenger" on all machines (no installation required, chat, file transfer, etc). Its very easy to use.

use 'windows NetMeeting'. This is what i use.
