How many hours do you spend on Computers daily? Are you Addicted?

By computers I mean everything: Desktops,Laptops,Smartphone,PlayStation,X-Box. But not TV. I spend about 12-16 Hours on a daily basis doing nothing. If it harms you/stops you from doing work then you can call it an Addiction. I can confess that I am addicted to it.

I spend around 4 and a half hour when its college day and more on holiday. recently I suffered from RSI in my right wrist due to excessive mouse usage, so now I ake breaks every 30 minutes. Also, now I understand the importance of ergonomics.

All day long. I don't have anything else to do.

Be it droid , PC , notebook . I am hooked to either one.

Same here. On holidays I sometimes don't even see Sunlight (I mean I dont go out).. :-(

College over, unemployed from past two months, so i've pretty much nothing to do all day, so just on my lappy all the time.. :razz:

1-2 hours

3-4 if I am in gaming/movie mood.

Not addicted.

gaming surfing till night 1 AM =4 hrs

soo its around 13.5-14 hrs on PC+Laptop ....smartphone and tab are not much used

I'm on my PC most of the time, but I'm not addicted. Reason being that I get bored doing the same thing for a long time and I have a lot of things to do prior to moving out.

Only time I am not on my laptop is when I am not sleeping.So yeah, addicted.

My mobile tells me to listen on lower volumes to avoid hearing damage :eeksign: I get scared. But what can I do when the volume of the file is itself low

Even if I try to avoid using computers , I simply cannot since ~90% of the things now are done through my computer like paying monthly bills, checking out prices of products, digging out numbers of local shops,etc.

Have you entertained the possibility that your ears are already damaged?

Weekdays: 6~7 hours in office, 1~2 hours in home (night)
Weekends: 8~9 hours in home..

is there any test available to check if ears is damaged or not ? or what type of doctor will check this ?

Not addicted I would say but I leave them only during sleep, even I use to get dreams :crazy:

4-5 Hrs in college and full time at home. Yes I'm addicted :mrgreen:

I was also like that, not now.

But since i am a developer, i can say i spend half a day in front of computer.

8hrs on normal days. Gets almost doubled on weekdays.

I even use it in the toilet and while having food..That should give an rough estimate

try to listen to sound of ANTS if u can't hear them then u r ears are damaged :meditate:

2 hrs on pc, 20+ hrs on my droid.I am on my s3 even while eating, in toilet and also when I am asleep

Have all the latest games on pc and all I do is play only dota, not even touched the games I purchased from steam or from flipkart, game4u etc. as I get too bored playing these single player games after just an hour.

if u have good internet connectivity (good latency).. then its gud to play multiplayer otherwise it sucks

Ha ha, m also on the same boat. My total hours in dota is 1200+(in 1 year), and hardly any other game I played more than 10 hours

Still I keep buying games.

Similar issue here too.. Only difference is its LOL and not Dota that i am addicted to
