You have to use some html graphic editor such as Dreamweaver, frontpage or even word has this facility but limited designing.
You have to make a webpage/s containing relevant info &then have to upload the same to geocities using their file manager.

You can start your basics with online HTML editors with WYSIWYG facility.
(I guess yahoo geocities has it)

For the basics start with freewebs.com.They have a huge numbers of templetes. Moreover its very easy.Just type the matter as you type in Word.
And it will automatically create webpages.
when you get to know about it strart using editor like Dreamwever OR frontpage

@caje - if u have a free yahoo account just visit geocities.yahoo.com sign in and make ur webpage by name of ur mail id.
see this geocities.com/sudip_lu

you can use geocities editor .. or frontpage which comes with office ..

its as easy as word !!
