How to tag mp3 files?

Hi,

I have lots of mp3's & wanted to know an easy way to tag them. One idea I had was that I can get the disc id from freedb.org & add it to the mp3 file. Then windows media player will retrieve the album info & add it automatically. But does this work & is there any software for it?

The hard way I know is to tag each & every file. Please tell me some good softwares for the same as well.

Thanks!

U could try using The Godfather. It's one of the best tagging software out there.

Try *musicbrainz.org/tagger/download.html

Or alternatively, try ID3TagIT

u cud use dBPoweramp to do it
*www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

Search search search before you post this has been discussed b4. Click here

Thanks guys! I will try out the above mentioned softwares & let you know if they worked for me.
