Did the installer state that u r comp failed validation test?

try installing WMP by extracting and doubleclicking each of the exe files.. that worked with my fren's comp facing similar problm

if u hav a legal copy then also install wga patch so that u dont have to connect to the net each time..

You must have original windows to install IE 7,WM11.etc

u might not b having a genuine os

Get the authenticity checked from microsoft's website:
*www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/ww/windows/validation_faq.mspx
IE 7 will only install on genuine windows.
And yes, you can only validate through internet explorer [v6].

after all the concirn of Pirated version... i doubt some thing else... do u have Administrating user account ??

your windows version seems to be pirated....
u can install wmp11 by extracting the setup file using winrar and clicking the .exe files....
to install IE7 also u can do like this .. or there is some patched version... u can download it....
