Get S4 @ 32k from eBay
Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 (BLACK OR WHITE BOTH COLORS AVAILABLE) | eBay

Its the best device considering you are an AMOLED screen lover. S4 has good battery life, front facing camera with network video calling option, faster android upgrades than its competitors (N5 not considered because of its average battery life)

+1 to S4 or Note 2. Note 2 has a better battery back up and is also receiving kitkat update

Note 2 is a bit dated though, still its more than enough for simple tasks

Note 2 might be big......
OP clearly mentioned 5" screen & S4 is a compact 5" phone

Only Samsung makes Amoled screen phones. Choose between the 30k 5.5 inch Note 2 or the 32k 5 inch S4. Both run Android 4.3 and will get the Kitkat upgrade
