Iam using a dial-up connection (bsnl) and the speed is very low only 40kbps is the max and the average is 37kbps. My PC is a 2.4GHZ Intel P4, 512RAM, 845gvsr mobo. what are the things I have to do and to try ???

1. Can I disable the Page file usage ?
2. Can I install the internet accelerator s/w?

or tell me other solutions. Thanks in advance.

Frankly there is nothing much you can do about this.
Check if your phone line has any disturbances. Also clean your modem. sometimes dust can also cause problems
