I have 256 mb DDR 400 RAM on my computer and was thinking of upgrading it to 1 gb.But I came to know that DDR 2 rams are much cheaper than DDR ones.So my question is whether I can dump my 256 mb RAM and use a fresh DDR2 1 gb RAM on my computer. Will my computer support it?I have Intel 915 chipset motherboard. It will be also be helpful if you can inform me about the current prices of 1 gb RAM of both DDR and DDR 2 variety.I live in Kolkata.Secondly,I will also be buying a graphics card,so please suggest me the best deal at about Rs 3000.
If i'm not wrong, your Motherboard will support DDR2 RAM. 1GB DDR2 RAM will cost you around Rs.2000-2200 depending upon Brands. But, preferably go for two dual 512 mb modules (Same).
And about your graphics cards query, goto: *www.deltapage.com/graphic.htm
