When I click on Start -> My Computer it instantly opens.
However when I click on anyone of the drives in My Computer it lakes more than 10 to 20 seconds to open the selected drive. Thereafter averyrhing is fine.

theres a possibility that there might be a bad sector or something.. better backup that disk before its too late... many drives show some sign that say ''I... I... I.. ammm ammmmm dyyyyiiiiinnnnng'' it happened twice with my 160gb samsung pata drive.. i literally hate samsung for just that.. sold off my pata and now on i only buy sata hdd way better than pata

About those drives .
One reason i can think of is that there might be many files as soon as you open the drive.
So it takes time to open it up.
