hi friends
i wanna install ubuntu in my friends comp but he got ibm pc and he does not want to create a partition in coz by doing that he will loose his warranty.
so is it possible to install ubuntu without doing a partition and get a test of linux..

NB: he does not want to use live cd.

Thats BS man.. No way can IBM void his warranty if he decides to repartition his HDD.. Ask him to get in touch with IBM and clarify about this.

He can try it by installing it in a Virtual Machine.
