Intel announces plan for global job cuts

is intel demented,or does it just want the world to suffer?
they are obviousy gaining huge profits,thanx to their 'core' mantra.
they better stop this madness,cause the people who lose their jobs may just go join AMD,then we'll see who has the last laugh....
