Cuz it generates a lot of heat and does next to nothing when compared to AMD X2 or C2D.
core 2 duo is far better than D . But intel quad core is coming , its the best.

C2D has CORE architecture and Pentium D has NETBURST architecture.and the NETBURST architecture sucks.
