Is it possible to ban a user of vbulletin or mybb over ip addresses? if he/she is having a dynamic ip is it worth?

read the rules first. the title of ur question shud b proper. wat do u mean by- "is it possible" ? ur question may not get too many views due to this.

Yes of course, you got dynamic ip no problem, bring it ON!! we got whole days.

But what if hidden ip? or changable ip? or proxy?

I've been meaning to ask this too... How does rapidshare detect our original IP?

every ISP got a confined no. of dhcp leases.then ,with geoip? etc you can find almost the location too.

no these ban does not work when the ip is changed ............ but if a user is banned he is banned for sure from every ip and by changing ip you will only be able to register again
