Lumia 525 is much better than that. Even Moto E is barring the camera.

Older version of Android and along that no Gapps. Nah it is a absolutely worthless device. Moto E is way better than this device.

I think Lenovo S660 is a better deal.

Nokia XL is more of a prototype from Nokia's experimentation with Android. It has lots of hiccups here and there.
If you really want a Nokia with Android, check for the upcoming Nokia X2 which is going to be released this week.

In WP8, you can check Lumia 525.
In Android, you can check Moto E.

It is an OKAYish sort of phone....and its features are nothing particular to write about and its biggest downside is the lack of Android Playstore ( Its not possible to access PLAYSTORE and download apps from it ) .
.
I would better recommend the Lumia 525 or the Lumia 630 ( Windows 8.1 ) if you are okay with the windows phone
or else
Buy the Moto G ( camera is not that great but manageable )..

You can root the phone, to access the Play store..

Rooting leads to voiding the WARRANTY. Also except tech freaks like us almost nobody roots their phones (a lot many dont even know about it)
So if something unfortunate happens to the device one is out on his own.

you can unroot it later and avail the warranty, if the rooting process does not involve unlocking bootloader

Better get Xperia M dual (or single sim one) than XL. Gionee M2 is also a good choice

Avoid Nokia X2. Moto E is far better buts its SAR value is quite high.

who cares, stick to lumia 630,525,520 or moto e,g
all other phones in this range are actually terrible even nokia xl which despite being an android in lumia armour doesnt do justice to neither android nor windows phone

Nokia x2 is much better than lumia 630, 520 ,

could be considered on par with 525 , moto E due to non availability of play store and google apps for general users

for techy users it is already the best phone in this range for those who can root, install roms etc

lolwut no man, moto and lumia are much better than the nokia xl
techie android lovers prefer moto, techie windows phone lovers prefer whichever lumia meets their needs
if your going by specs to compare android, lumia and nokia x phones,im just gonna faceplam like epic facepalm
the experience is what matter not specs or os etc

read the post again i am talking about Nokia X2 and not Xl

read my post again genius, im talking about the Nokia X Phones not just X2,XL or X and even if its X2, it doesnt make sense, its literally the same phone with more ram and stuff but android needs higher specs to function properly hence the Lumia 630,520,525 , moto G and Moto E(to some extent) shine more than those lame chinese and indian oem phones and the nokia X series

ohh i remember now about you from the windows phone thread..

its literally the same phone with more ram and stuff but android needs higher specs to function properly hence the Lumia 630,520,525 , moto G and Moto E(to some extent)

i would recommend you do a bit of search before posting ...

x2 and the rest of x series are not same phones at all ... the chipset is brand new and much powerful plus the 1 gb ram

X2 and moto E are exactly same phones hardware wise ( cpu , ram ) , so i am not sure why you recommend moto e but not X2

i remember you as well, still arguing for no reason eh,pick one side and stick to it instead of arguing against everyone else(happened on previous threads remember)

because moto E is a stock android phone, which is certainly better than a half baked aosp android rom with no google services
you should do research instead plus nokia x series is poorly built compared to the motos, lumias etc despite having a nokia branding and an android rom it doesnt do justice to either
slightly different chipset doesnt mean a new phone from scratch, its like getting an alto to succeed a maruti 800 get what im saying

- - - Updated - - -

unrooting requires reflashing oem rom

yeah obviously stock moto e is so much better thats why i rated it comparable to moto E and not better despite x2 having autofocus + flash because no google services and skinned theme takes the pure android factor away..

for techies who can install a custom rom x2 is the best smartphone under 10k till now ...

the difference between the 2 soc is too much

the old cortex A5 was on 45nm .. this is on 28nm .. plus the performance difference, these newer cortex A7 are faster than cortex A9 ( s duos 2 )

especially the GPU .. the gpu is actually 200% faster than the predecessor

so your example is actually wrong ... it's like getting A star to replace 800 where the engine is so much powerful especially when it comes to playing high end games... check moto E gaming performance .. modern combat 4, Asphalt 8 no lags...!! get what i am saying ?

Regarding build quality , Moto E itself has poor build Quality

Motorola Moto E review: Have a break! - page 2 - GSMArena.com

unrooting requires reflashing oem rom

absolutely not mandatory !! if you are on stock rom rooted and unroot it you don't need to flash anything

depends on different phone models as well

nokia x2 also has bad build fyi
the best build quality in that range is the lumia 520/525 beats every other phone in the range even performance wise
unofficial roms are useless unless its tailor made for the phone-official cyanogen or carbon roms(not the ports)
on paper it might seem faster but its useless if it doesnt perform the same

actually its true... many people who have received Moto E are reporting that there are issues with the backcover .. maybe it might be stock issues .. so your's could be a good one.. but i have seen many genuine replies on other forums rconforming the backcover issue

Htc Desire 516 ...

available on ebay for 13k , you will be able to get it at 11k from other online stores... that's the only good 5 inch phone in this range from a reputed brand..

for 4.5 inch moto G is the lone warrior

otherwise micromaxx, lenovo, karbonn are full of options..

Nope, it isn't

Motorola Moto E Dual SIM - Full phone specifications

I think GSMArena got it wrong. The SAR value of Moto E is much more.

Check this link: *rfhealth-sar.motorola.com/SAR/english/sarEnglish-results.jsp?standard=IEEE-1&prodid=Moto+E+-+XT1022

As per the Motorolla official site the SAR value is when tested for use at the ear is 1.5 W/kg** and when worn on the body, as described in this user guide, is 1.36 W/kg.
