Happy to see Anil achive this milestone. One of the most respected cricketer. Hats off to you Anil :)

Kumble, after scrambling to regain his crease, saw that the ball had evaded the keeper, and even before Steve Bucknor, the umpire, could signal the boundary, Kumble had his helmet off and waved his bat towards the Indian dressing-room. To a man the Indian team was out on the balcony, on their feet, celebrating Kumble's moment. It was one of cricket's romantic moments, a popular hero achieving a milestone that appeared to be evading him in a 17-year-old career.

i second that! awesome, kumble! :) i think india shud continue widout an official coach. they are doing better!! :D

sach mein yaar believe hi nahi hota.:p Just imagine Sachin,Dinesh,Dhoni all missed their centuries and Kumble got it.:D I hope Sree santh also gets it in near future.I like this lad so aggressive representing young India.:cool:

Feels great to see Kumble touch another landmark. And scoring more than any player in the match so far :)

4Th bowler to take 900 international wickets
Only player in test cricket to get 500 wickets + a century to his credit (Warne missed it by just one run)
Wud be becoming the third highest wicket taker by taking just more one wicket surpassing Glenn McGrath(1>WArne, 2 >Murli)

Record for taking maximum number of tests before making a century(117) surpassing Chaminda Vass (97), not a significant one
