Okay so I am having an issue with the 15r special edition(specs are in my signature). A thin horizontal line is flashing at the bottom of my screen every 1-2 seconds. Its about 1 mm in height. Now I realize its the top half of the window I am in. I can see the outline of the "minimize, restore, close" buttons.
Now I thought the gpu was going bad,so I hooked up the laptop to my desktop display. But the issue is not present there. I also ran 3d mark 11. No problems.
So now I am inclined to think that it is an issue with the lcd screen or the connectors.

Can anyone here help me with this? And also, how much does a new lcd screen cost for this laptop?

Do check with Dell if your warranty still not void. I checked a "DELL INSPIRON 15R LAPTOP LCD SCREEN 15.6" WXGA HD LED DIODE" in amazon costing around 50$, should come within 4000 INR in India.
