Laptop with or without dedicated graphics card?

Hi, I'm to purchase a new laptop on behalf of my sister who is into video editing and uses software like Adobe Aftereffects. Based on configuration & price combination I've narrowed down options to Acer 5738 or 5738G.
Acer 5738 = ~35500 with

Linux , Intel® C2D T6600 (2 MB L2 cache, 2.2 GHz)/ Intel GM45Chipset / 4 GB RAM / 15.6" HD / DVD Writer/ 320 GB HDD / BlueTooth/ MultiCard Reader / Gigabit LAN / WebCam/ 4 x USB Ports / Dolby Stereo Speakers/HDMI/ FPR /6 Cell/1Yr/

Acer 5738G = ~42500 with

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium , Intel® Core 2 Duo T6600 (2 MB L2 cache, 2.2 GHz)/ Intel PM45 Chipset / nVidia or ATI 512MB Dedicated Graphics/4 GB RAM / 15.6" HD / DVD Writer/ 320 GB HDD / BlueTooth/ MultiCard Reader / GigaLAN / WebCam/ 4 x USB Ports / Dolby Stereo Speakers/HDMI/ FPR /6 Cell/ Genuine Vista Home Premium/ 1Yr International Travellers Warranty/Carry Case

What should I go for keeping in view the workload? I am not sure if Aftereffects would get speed benefit from a dedicated graphics card...
Please reply early as I am to effect the purchase tomorrow...
Thanks in advance.

O

Dedicated graphics definitely helps but the overall performance increase depends on what you use the machine for. Graphics cards are mainly used for gaming but apart from that, with today’s GP GPU applications, they can also be used for more general purposes such as media transcoding which helps in converting your media files to your favorite format or for the iPod much faster, play your HD movies more smoothly, etc. consider these laptops as well apart from the ones you’ve mentioned: The HP dv6, Compaq CQ 40 415AU & Acer 5536G

Thanks for replying... I've bought Acer 5738 for 34500... and first impressions are very-very satisfying.

For laptop with graphics solutions i would say go for HP. Also the second config is better for an increase of only 7k.
