My friend has a special deal only valid for today in which LG optimus 4x is priced at 22400 and LG optimus VU is priced at 21600.
I am planning to get a new phone but was waiting for a relative from the US for the Nexus 4. But since the specs of these three are quite similar, should I go for any of these two??
My main reason for getting the Nexus was constant update from Google, but in case of optimus VU and 4x, updates wont be as frequent.
Please suggest...

No, the specifications of the nexus 4 and optimus 4XHD are very very different, id still say get a nexus 4 because no phone beats it in hardware section.

Hardware isnt my top priority, 4X's hw would do just fine, the thing I am concerned about is updates. Lg is known to skip updates for even flagship devices

If you are not so intent on updates and hardware then for 22k LG Optimus 4X is not bad at all, i mean i always put custom roms on my device which are to my liking and never wait for official updates :D

Android 4.1 with a ton of bloated skin cancel out any kind of performance boost Google implemented in 6months. If you want new Android update, buy a Nexus or visit XDA Forum.
