Linux problem

hi.
my first post.
i hv installed linux on an amd athlon m/c.
got two problems.
1.my 2600+,2.13 GHZ processor is recognised as 26600+,1.92 Ghz pro.tried a bios upgrade but to no avail.what to do?
2.my pctel modem isn't detected by Red Hat 9.

pls help. :(

linux problem resolved but what about the incorrect processor speed?
