I am looking for an image viewer for Windows/Linux that shows all images in a continuous scrolling tile format like that of mobile phone galleries. Irrespective of their actual location on the computer. Is there anything like that?

I think Picasa does that.

Thanks. I will just have to be careful to make sure that it won't slyly upload my images to Google servers behind my back.

Easier way, block internet access on " Firewall ", or set to " Ask ".

Picasa is great.

+1
actually, a more foolproof way ;)
Yes indeed. Never know when a user setting within the application may disappear allegedly during an update or something

I have Comodo firewall. Will add a rule there.

Anything on similar lines in Linux?

Install Picasa on Ubuntu 12.04 | Ubuntu Tutorials

skip the "install ie6" step as you don't wan't to login into google acount on it.

reply after you try.

OK. I will give it a try though I am not a fan of running Windows applications under Wine in Linux. There is always something missing or feels so :(
