1) What is your budget?

60-65k max. Can stretch to 70k if worth it.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
  • Thin and Light; 12" - 13" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Office work, tally, checking mails etc.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
i5 would do the job, 8GB RAM? Windows not necessary. 1 TB HDD / 500GB SSD if it fits in the budget.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
No, not really as I don't know much about laptops.

6) Anything else you would like to say?

I don't think I'll get a 1080p screen for my budget so whatever is fine. 6+ hours battery life preferred, but not a must. Will buy locally/ online is fine too. (Chennai)

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Currently have this laptop in mind.
Thinkpad L470 i5 4GB RAM - DOS - 1TB HDD

Running Telly on macbook would require installing xcode, homebrew & wine in that order besides typing some commands.
