For more than two decades, Microsoft's software and Intel's processors were so wedded that the pairing came to be known as Wintel. But as that computing era wanes, Microsoft is turning to a new source of chip design: its own labs !!!

So when the next version of Windows is released (after Vista) Microsoft will force
it's users to buy it's own hardware from MS Stores online!!! Another marketing
trick from M$.

It would be a better idea if Microsoft :cool:buys out both Intel and nVIDIA:D
to solve its problem of supporting hardware including motherboards, processors and Video Cards

i don't think MS will make windows run on propreitary hardware , but it can make it's own processors n gfx cards so as to offer a complete solution to consumers with rock solid stability , much like what apple does but with more open rules .
