The price list is back now, in a table.

@azzu, it will be great if you can generate tables of deals and coupons instead of the current format. It will be easier to read and understand.

i can do that..
thx for d Help

^^ now this is how it should be. simple & clear.

also i think its better to remove the "out of stock" quote.

napster007 said:

Yep I have, pendrive using COD and coupon!

My two cents-I think saholic.com should not be considered because there offers are unrealisticly true and also their products are out of stock most of the time.Plus the lack of trusted reviews regarding delivery and product supplied by them also creates a big question.Just my opinions, rest the mods choice.

^the prices on that site are the prices at a croma or reliance retail, they are not "unrealistically" low... some are exactly at par, others are at a little strange price points, maybe that includes the delivery mechanisms for the particular site, they are not far off though
wanna crowdsource this to a google spreadsheet?

^^^But what's the point in being out of stock most of the time? A site may list a phone like an iPhone 4 for 10k but what the use when they are always out of stock and 99% of the people cannot order it.It only serves as a marketing gimmick to promote the website, ship a few numbers of product at low prices, then make the item unavailable but the news will spread like fire in the woods.

5.9k is a good price. well i should have checked. Nokia 5230 was not sold for 8.9k even at launch.

its ok buddy

Dude this part is correct : the mobile I'm talking about is 5233 & not 5230..5.9k for 5230 is definitely a great price but 5233 was selling for almost 5.1k at univercell...
Hope no confusions this time

I had ordered two basic CDMA handsets from Letsbuy. And it got delivered in 5-6 days' time by Blue Dart. Service wise it is ok.
But I feel Flipkart is much better service-wise. They even have their own courier service (atleast in B'lore)

I also noticed that when you go to Samsung website and click on BUY for any mobile phone, it re directs you to Letsbuy. So that makes it even more genuine

hi guys and gals!
i'm from guwahati, assam and desperately need a smartphone under 25k since my previous one bailed out on me

i have shorlisted the nokia n8,desire and galaxy s for my need.
but due to my position on the globe, there are no htc dealers and that rules out the desire and leaves the n8 and galaxy s.
any suggestions would very helpful.
im constantly on the move and an avid photographer,so i need a strong, durable smartphone with good shooting qualities.
plz help!

I'll say go for LG Optimus 2X. Best buy under 25k...I ordered one myself and should get it in a day or two. Reviews say good cam and decent audio quality. I'll post a hands-on review soon! Plus its future proof.

I think u should go for Incredible S instead of N8,desire or Galaxy S.
You can order if online from letsbuy or flipkart and it will be delivered at doorstep

I was under the same dilemma for myself too, but O:2X beats Incredible S in terms of camera and audio, and of course, speed.

LG Optimus 2x is a good choice. The lowest list price is 23,999 @Saholic, they say next day delivery for this model.

If you can stretch your budget by 1K more you can get the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. The lowest price on this is 26,190 @Saholic. You would have to use the coupon code 'SAHOLIC15i' to get this price.

This comes with android gingerbread OS, capacitive touch, 4.2" TFT LCD screen, LED backlighting, 8.1MP camera, Bravia Engine for enhanced video viewing experience, and HDMI connectivity support, 1GHz processor, GPS/A-GPS etc. Overall good value for money.

Desire HD for 19k and Blackberry Playbook 16GB for 13.5k available at saholic

Great deal on indiaplaza for all Nokia lovers/fanboys.
Get instant cashback of 10% on all nokia phones.
One can get Lumia 800 for only 21226Rs, thats a great deal for people who are willing to buy a windows phone

And Nexus Prime is priced for 34k on ebay without manufacturer warranty(thought 1yr dealer warranty is there) by one of the top power sellers.

is there any specific thread/forum where i can get used smartphones(preferably android). I know our TDF bazaar section is awesome but it doesn't have much of the mobile phones deals in it.

create a want-to-buy thread.

And the people searching for Old Nexus S,it is available on ebay for around 22-23k, but I don't think its worth anymore.
Anyways for all SE lovers, Xperia S is available....yes you read it right it is available on ebay but for 40k, this is huge guys, I personally don't think its worth for that much.
Now lets see what other members of TDF guys have to say about it.

40k at ebay = 30-32k when launched officially.

We are already having the idea of its price.
And there is always a lot of difference in US or UK price when compared to India.
So its no fun sharing such information if it is not asked.

I keep getting, the discount offers for first time buyers, products worth around 70-100rs, which are available for 20-40rs!! LOL!

and as of the explorer link, i had tried a few coupons on that link, none of them worked!

and that is an old packing, content in box says : "Battery, Charger, Data Cable, Memory Card, User Manual", the new packing comes with Ear phones and HTC Sense 3.5 installed!

Most of the ones available online are the old ones, about Sense UI you can upgrade over the air.
BTW have a look at here

S

I wanted to purchase incredible s or sensation using the e bay offer (I have the coupon). Can anyone suggest me whether sensation is worth the 4k premium??

hi guys i am planning to buy a blackberry playbook 32gb in bangalore. Any idea where i could get it cheapest?> its retailing for around 17k in delhi and i saw cheapest on ebay was 15.5k , should i visit areas like national market? and which shop do you recommend there?

Better buy an android tablet.
If you still wish to go for it, buy from here - BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK 32 GB Wi-Fi, Rs.33,500/- + BB SCREENGARD Rs.2000/- @14575/- | eBay
14.6k + Screen Guard (Company Warranty)

OR
Blackberry Playbook 32 GB Wi-Fi Brand New | eBay
14k with 1 month seller warranty

Am not sure if you can use coupons from ebay on these deals?

which android tablet do you suggest ? i was hoping to upgrade to os 2.01 and then port android apps to the playbook

@007 the tablet is used..

also i would prefer to buy from bangalore because i am staying here rather than ebay. the tablet for 14k is a grey market peice.

NoasArcAngel said:

Ok I didn't see the used tag :-?

.

You could buy Iball slide, comes for 13-14k and takes a sim card and has a USB port too, oh yeah you can plug your USB Wireless modem and hack the planet

More here - iBall Slide. Enjoy the ride.

The bad about playbook is limitation of apps and you can't harness the full power if you don't have a blackberry, which kinda makes it partially useless...

low res display

NoasArcAngel said:

Well you could look for other Android based tabs then.
If you have made up your mind for Playbook, best is to look locally and haggle, just make sure you get the bill and warranty as some shopkeepers have a tendency to lure customers into buying grey market stuff and say "Don't worry, shall anything happen to the device feel free to come back to the shop **Only to get looted off your money**"

i dont live in bangalore . i am visiting some relatives and thats why i need to get it here. so if you know some people / shops here then plz tell me
thanks

I live in Mumbai and only know that you have to be wary of Delhi dealers.

haha how true delhi dealers are crooks. i bought a 8gb sony mark pro duo 2 for 1800 from dealer in mumbai with bill in 2009 , and the same thing in delhi was retailing for 4200.

Having said that, proceed with caution.

i plan to visit national market today to see the playbook if i find the right price i may buy it as i am coming back to delhi tomorrow

Sensation has got better processor, bigger screen, better looks, Full HD video recording, bluetooth v3.0.
I think its worth the difference.

If you want to buy 32GB playbook then it from here, and try to apply 10% or 7.5& off coupon on it.You can have a look at 64Gb model here at the same time.
Otherwise I would suggest you to buy ipad 2 for around 21-22k,its totally worth it and is better than playbook

R

In what ways is the Desire S better than the Neo V (as mentioned above)?

Bro I have mentioned that Sensation is better than Incredible S.
If we talk about desire S and Neo V, then Desire S has more ram, better build quality, and better data connectivity/speed(but it doesn't matter) on the other hand Neo V has got HDMI port, dedicated camera key. Build quality is of major concern and as well as the ram so I think one must pick Desire S but considering the difference in cost in Incredible S and desire S is less than 1k one must go for Incredible S

R

Hmm, I see. Incredible S sure seems to be the best option amongst these. I guess its got the best camera amongst these 3 too. Wish the Neo was available in India. It has the best cam.

So I'm planning to buy the Explorer.
I tried the GADGET600 coupon code on Tradus but it showed up as an invalid coupon.

You guys have any alternative coupon?

Are normal street prices any lower than this?

Yes the camera is very good, and dual led flash is awesome.

Pic taken from my ipod touch so quality is less than great.

I was looking for a phone in the 17-23k price range. I'd extended my budget quite a bit. though I absolutely loved my last HTC (Desire) I couldn't justify spending 5k more than already exceeded budget. I'll definitely hijack an existing thread in the price range and post my views within the week. Meanwhile I like the Xperia S.Tried a friend's extensively besides spending 3hours with it at Croma over the past week.Only thing i hate is the size. Despite being 4.3 Inches, the bezel adds so much width (and height with the translucent strip and touch buttons and bottom cap-unnecessary IMHO)that when placed on top of the One X, its almost the same size!

I'll have a a proper hands on soon.
