Under your price range I'd suggest a couple of Sony's option.
1. Xperia J
2. Xpeia L
3. Xperia Ion - If you can increase your budget a little bit i.e. around 20k then this must be the best available model in class in terms of its price and features. Display of Ion is just outstanding, it supports Full HD 1080p.

Indian version of HTC One S has Scorpion S3 processor instead of Krait S4. Thats why HTC One S is not a good option...

@OP: If you had asked this question 2 months back, everyone at TDF would have suggested L9. This month Xperia L and Lumia 720 is what everyone would suggest based on your OS requirement. Who knows what'll happen next month? lately, I see many threads popping up for mobile suggestion in this price point(15k to 20k). Try to use the search option before creating a new thread, buddy. It would save a lot of time.

@chintan : lumia works on win8 which not that ram hungry, so win 8 will work without lags as long as you do not start any memory hogging app..

android system needs more ram.

i read it somewhere..
so guys please correct me if i'm wrong

Most other games work, but if gaming is more of a preference, then X L.

Cam, battery life & overall exp I guess would be better on 720.

Yea, but of course one must decide over preferred OS first.

If you are not into customization, gaming and piracy, L720 is a better choice.

If you don't care about battery and lagging, Xperia L is the best you can get.

You should've mentioned your requirements in the first post itself. I see, You didn't even fill the mobile buying template.

That Point :D

Btw I don't think Android JB and above is laggy, yeah some poorly codded apps may not run well.

We must acknowledge L720 for its great battery life.

I too agree that Android 4.1+ is not laggy, especially with 1GB RAM. My friend's Galaxy Young was smooth.

I'm also suggesting Xperia L to my dad, but he wants good battery life, soo he is still confused.... He won't do customisations, but he wants app support like Android(after seeing what all I do with my phone )

Hi Friends,

Yesterday I checked out this phone here in Ahmedabad, My observation are as Follows:

1. Price - Lowest I got is Rs. 18700/- with bill.
2. It doesn't have sony Bravia Engine. what is point buying sony phone without bravia.
3. Cam is just average even at 8 MP. Front facing is worst as it is VGA only.
4. Dual core. i think need not to tell.
5. No LTE or 4G. But yes having NFC.
6. Built quality is sturdy. and bit on heavier side for me.
7. No Adobe flash support.

Now I don't want to go for this. I checked out X SP and tht also having front VGA camera.

So wants to know what are my options now. is L9 is any better then this given the price it is having.

Bravia engine is just a software trick..u won't find any noticeable difference..the screen might be built to work as good as bravia enabled screen ..

It's not about Sony > Pantech but warranty. :p

Without warranty he can obviously get a great phone at 18k.

Even Nexus 4 is now 23k or so I believe

Forget about 4g..donno about rich ppl :p vodafone already said recently that as of now, they have no 4g bringing plans here coz of less demand.. They know ppl simply cant afford..

TO all those PPl, who gave me a good amount of thrashing for my above post:

1. I didn't mean I am looking for above features at given price. Although tht is not clear from my post. Sorry for confusion.
2. I am looking for those things to be precise as I am going to have this phone for atleast 2 years for sure.
3. LTE or 4G will not take much of time for sure. As reliance is already started working on this and GoI have already given the License for this.
4. Now Please help, My budget is 23K or max 25K and i am looking for 2years future proof phone. Althought Nexus 4 fulfill most of the requirmets but due to some reason i can't go for tht.

Thanks for ur support and taking time to reply to my post(s).

You're wrong, buddy. WP8 requires minimum of 512 MB of RAM. It can't run on 256MB of RAM. Only, WP7.x can run on even 256MB of RAM.
