Hey guys,

I've planned to upgrade my dad's old P4 PC. . Just office type of work no gaming. . but would need HD playback. .bcos i'm thinking of planning it to make it as a HTPC in the future. . My Budget is around 5-6k for mobo+cpu . .

So i've been looking around and found this mobo.

DigiLite AMD E350 iTX Board with Processor : DL-AHD1S-K - www.deltapage.com

Zacate APU for 4.5k. . Should i go for this for wait for trinity ?? :-? Even so will trinity fit into my budget ??. .

Also can u guys suggest me any good, itx/HTPC sized cabinets for 2k max ??

Thanks ,

The digilite mobo you have stated is perfect for your requirement.

You could go for an atom dual core (like 945GCLFD2) but its gonna cost as much.

Deltapage has the best rate for this mobo+cpu combination at 4590+150(shipping)

Best itx case is actually the CFI A8989 Mini-ITX Cube Case. Looks like the shuttle series. Unfortunately its tough to find it online.

It used to cost 1.3k on ebay, but is no longer available.

Next best is this clone from thinpc on ebay.in (@1.8k including shipping)

MINI ITX CUBE CASEING, @ 1600 | eBay

I use this case myself, pretty neat for an itx mobo, plenty of space yet compact.

You could throw in a pci-e graphics card to add teeth to this mobo+cpu combi, but make sure its a low profile card or it wont fit the case.

Intel Pentium G620 + ASUS P8H61 M LX. Avoid Digilite as its quality and reliability are unknown.
