Moto G2 or the second generation of Motorola's popular Moto G, was launched on Friday at a price of Rs. 12,999 for the 16 GB variant. Bookings will be open from Friday and the Moto G2 can be ordered on Flipkart.

Motorola also launched the second generation variant of the Moto X. Both the Moto G2 and the new Moto X are powered by Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The Moto G2 has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera compared to the earlier Moto G's 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3- megapixel front camera.

The Moto G2 also called the Moto G (2nd Gen) boasts of a 5-inch display compared to the earlier 4.5-inch display screen. The second generation Moto G2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 305 GPU.

The Moto G2 is also available in an 8GB variant. A major difference between the Moto G2 and the Moto G is the addition of a microSD card slot.

My Opinion

Flipkart is not hosting stupid registration this time :D. Anybody disappointed by SD400? I am not, but want to know about others.

Yeah! NO registration and all that crap things. In stock still after 22 hours well managed by flipkart.

moto x a nice upgrade. And if launched about 31k it is going to kill all the flagships out there.

I am ok with the CPu, but the Adreno 305 is just pathetic. The Mali 450MP4 of the competition SOC's is much better

even i am ok with Cpu but instead of scrapping this adreno 305 they have again used it in Snapdragon 410 .. i was a big fan of adreno 305 but 2 years ago..

i am sure snapdragon 610 with adreno 405 won't come in less than 20k phones ..

Mali 450 Mp4 is so much better than 305 , and now mediatek is using Mali T760 mp4 and i guess the performance will exceed adreno 320 easily this time...

there is a huge performance difference between mediatek and snapdragon this time for 15k phones

mt6752 vs snapdragon 410 . 6752 totally ripping 410 apart..

2015 is going to be the year for mediatek.. as they are rumored to be releasing source code for their chips
