Atrix2 is lot better than A110/A90S but cost at least 5k more. Better state your budget so that we can recommend the right mobile.

Battery life is good, and the hardware is also good for rs 16200 INR, you can also have a look on G Advance or L9 they are good at that price.

Cons of LG Optimus L9: Only 303 MB free ram. @OP- Please check the Iball Andi 4.5h, its dual-core processor with 1GB of Ram. Price around 12.5K at flipkart.

what about HTC sensation XE guys ?

L9 has 1GB ram too but GPU is way better than desi mobiles and processor is efficient and should draw less power than ones powered by Mediatek chipset.

HTC Desire X - 19,799 rs ??

not recommended. processor is extremely slow compared to l9/S Adv. decide between LG L9 & Samsung S Advanced. or Galaxy Nexus if you are ok with a mobile without warranty.

how much free ram on ur android u want buddy?? :O many devices have less than a hundred mb of ram left, still running smooth..768 mb or more than that ram memory is sufficient for any android ecosystem considering the fact that the ecosystem is not built for true multitasking..so caching unnecessary apps running in background is not a good deal anytime..:)

under 20k, Optimus L9, Galaxy S Advance, Atrix 2, Galaxy Nexus, Xperia P

if OP increases further then he can consider HTC One S

don't look for other mobiles..

Dude you getting me wrong :O I said only 303MB are free..so 721 MB were used. For 1GB RAM min 700 mb should be free. And another thing, less than 100 mb of ram will run smooth unless you play some HD games or browse heavy page.
Check the video for available free RAM of Optimus L9

^^ Bro 700 mb free is impossible :)
around 200-300 mb itself goes to The android system-5-10 mb keyboard etc..
So overall higest you can get is 300-500 mb free.
In my Nexus 10-2 gb itself i get about 900 mb free

Dunno in my funbook around 230 mb are free out of 512 Mb ram. But i am confirmed that andi 4.5H have 700 mb free ram. see the youtube video of it.

one reason might be andi 4.5h has powervr sgx531 gpu which consumes less ram memory while optimus l9 or atrix 2 has sgx540 gpu which is far superior than 531 n consumes more ram memory..same with my xperia p..mali 400 gpu..1 gb ram..but i never get more than 300 mb free ram..

2nd reason might the vendors' skins on top of android os..after all, it's always in manufacturers' hand on how to utilize I/O n internals of device..

even though u get less free ram memory, overall experience will be far fluid n superior than other less price devices..

480X800 is way too low for a 5" mobile. even Micromax Canvas 2 has slightly higher resolution.

If you have had a hands-on with both devices and still are ok with the Galaxy Grand's screen resolution, then you can go for it. The Grand is not more powerful than the L9, it performs well in games, because its got a lower resolution and has to render lesser pixels. Performance-wise L9 is better VFM, but Grand outperforms the L9 in benchmarks, which is mainly because of the lower resolution and Jellybean optimizations.

instead of Grand, check Xperia SL. You get a smaller display but 720p resolution display, slightly more processing power and a hell lot of internal memory. Although you'll have to be satisfied with Android 4.0 for a few more months.

First things first, forget the Micromax devices since you can afford to get a phone of a reputed brand. Now that Micromax is out of the equation, dont bother considering it unless you want buggy software, chinese chipset, service center headache and no updates.

Now you have 3 devices:
LG L9
Samsung Galaxy Grand
Sony Xperia SL

All of them are good devices in slightly different price ranges differing in Rs.2k, each with their pros and cons. Go to any electronics store and try the 3 devices first. If you are mind-blown by any one of those then look no further and get that one. Each one has different likes and needs, so all 3 phones are best depending on the person, you cant go wrong with any of the 3.

IMO xperia SL is the best as suggested by SAM , most balanced phone of the 3 devices. It doesnt have Jellybean yet so you will have to wait till it gets updated, which will improve the performance and UI. Still even on ICS, its a damn good device and best under 25k. It is available for 22k in some places which makes for a good vfm deal. Best CPU and GPU, Best camera, Best screen quality, Largest Internal Storage

Samsung Grand is available for around 20k. Largest screen, but lowest resolution. Many unique touchwiz features like multi window. Best Gaming performance because of lower resolution. The SL has better raw power but Grand has lowest resolution which enables it to overcome its weakness. Comparing CPU performance SL is better, so SL will be better at loading times, editing work. GPU performance will be better on Grand, because of earlier mentioned reason.

LG L9 is the most VFM device of the 3, since it is available for 18k and once was even available for 15k on HS18(total steal!!). It has 80-90% the performance of the SL in CPU and GPU depending on the application. It has good screen and pixel density. It will update to Jellybean too, which will improve the performance. Least internal memory(4GB) which is enough for most people though. Camera is ok.

So many compromises for illumination bar !!!

Only 1 gig ram, pathetic camera, not guaranteed KLP update, small screen, dual core & so on...
