My Laptop is showing som unusual behaviour
mouse moves (although not much) on its own and restricts my action
Laptop has become unusually slow ( i have 1.5 gig of ram)
Antivirus is taking over an hour to complete scan (i terminated it as i was losing out on time)
what should i do?
P.s. will post "hijackthis" log if possible/needed

happens to me too, but I think its a hardware/sensor problem.

in my case, the mouse occasionally under certain circumstances when I keep the mouse on the mouse pad in a certain way, the pointer starts vibrating and jerking around in a small area like its having fits.

Generally of the sensor mouse has these kind of problems. Because vibration cause the image sensor to receive the image effect.

confirm if your system table doesn't get vibration due to system fan, speakers & as well as ceiling fan.

damn, my mouse was acting same whenever I power ceiling fan @high speed.:D

Update your antivirus and check for viruses, some are known to do that

HI,
do you have any magnetic device near the mouse wire?
another reson is cell phone placed on the computer table.
if problem persist keep your cat away while using your computer :)
