Exactly my thought. Wonder who will really buy this. Hero never got Froyo update. Paying 18k for being stuck in Eclair makes no sense. Better get Galaxy S Mini by paying 1k more.

But still who would like to go for a phone still running on Eclair? Even Froyo looks dated now with Gingerbread coming into focus.

^ really ?... whats so dated about froyo ?... I am currently running Gingerbread CM7 on my O1 ... apart from the redesigned notification indicators and the text input related part, you will see no difference

If you have to buy a new phone, will you settle with Froyo? I'm sure I won't. I consider future updates before buying a new phone.
I'm sure that would be the thinking of other educated buyers too.

told before also, not everyone is a techie. also its not always highlighted what OS version a particular mobile is running.
