A company called GameGetz is soon starting a Computer Gaming Institute, which will cover the Entire Game Development Cycle.

The Course includes
2D Game Programming (J2ME)
3D Game Programming(DirectX, OpenGL),etc.

I have got a mail from them that they are probalby starting operations from jan 20th.

Guyz, i am joining it.

It wiil be fun to learn to make games like quake 3 and doom . Besides the games industry loks hot to me.

wy doesnt Gamegetz hav its own website????

DirectX / OpenGL

Guys, I am confused ...

Whether I should learn Directx/ Opengl
or Mobile Programming.

As Gamegetz is launching both, i have to make a choic e as per the industry requirements.

Wad do you all say? Which is preferable. Please reply as I am planning to join in FEB.

They both are equally important man. Directx is restricted to only windows but opengl can work on almost every platform. If you throughly learn opengl you can easily learn d3d.

Im really happy that mumbai will be having a game programming institute. I will sure do join after my ****in engineering gets completed. I was thinkin of joining ICAT, chennai as it also provides courses for hardcore API's like opengl and directx

It is better to learn it ourself than going to this moneymongering institue.

yup i know that... but still i ve never heard of this institute... seems to be fraud..

even i doubt dat. I would go for mobile gaming.
