600 Mbps (Mega bits per second).
70 MBps (Mega Bytes per second).

8 bits = 1 byte.

I know its true for a fact, but they are not real world speeds, rather just "acclaimed" speeds in a testing condition. So you won't get that much speed. I have the same drive and get speeds from 70-100MB/s.

It gives better performance than other HDD's available... Can if your copying 700 MB movies then it will copy a movie in 40-50 sec...:| with 2.0..
