Need 4.5-5" budget android max budget 12k

2. Display type and size? IPS screen , 4.5-5" ...more ppi better
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip? Bar
4. Preferred choice of brand? any brand will do. Just need to play with android.
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type). Touchscreen
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera. This will not be my primary phone, soo camera if average is fine.
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc). Android 4.1.1 or 4.1.2
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly. both
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)? no preference
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)? timepass while travelling, change ROM, dont play games too much , music quality and screen should be nice.
11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? Soo many in market that I am just total clueless...maybe Xolo is good, there is no branded ones and Xperia C went to chineese market only
12. Any other info that you want to share

I want to buy it in comming 1 month...soo if there something comming soon I can wait.
I am also bit confused if I should just get a Tablet for all those purposes ...maybe a tab with calling facility may also do everything...

and whats the street price of lava iris 504Q
Q800 is also good. i was interested in that but need some more suggestions.

ok I may go for Q800 but they say sound quality is not that good...can software or custom ROM's improve that??

Well I don't think SQ will be that bad. Won't be worse than the Lava Iris though

You might also stretch your budget slightly for the Xolo Play.

IF you can go to 16k, why not Xperia L instead of grand ?? much better..
unless you want dual sim, in which case, i'd suggest you go with samsung galaxy quattro instead of grand..

but xperia L screen is small ....right now I am very happy with my Omnia W ...but its screen of 3.7" feels small now ....I want 4.5" and above

Even Canvas HD/XOLO Q1000/LAVA Iris 504Q are better than Quattro

Soo guys today I read about tegra 3 on XOLO Play ...and its interesting to know that its only available on high end devices..

I will wait for the reviews of actual device...maybe by next 20 days we see more interesting devices

Xolo Play is a good device for its price

@quagmire ...yes you are right...if it launches for 12-15k i will consider Sony xperia C .....I dont like plastic feel on the handset..i will check them personally and decide

. i was told that Quattro's Processor & GPU is better than Grand, hence i advised it..& you will never see me advising someone to buy local indian brands. I have had very pathetic services on more than one occassion, hence, i generally avoid suggessting these brands despite them having better specs than samsung/sony/nokia/htc/whatever..

Hello guys ...can someone guide me where in kolkata I can get auxus Nuclia N1 and Xolo play and Xolo Q800 and Sony Xperia L ....I want to test them and get one of them ....I cant get them online cause I will be in kolkata only for 2 days

I will be staying near airport Dum Dum . .....I know a city center mall nearby

I also need to buy a Asus Netbook.

Auxus Nuclea N1 was released recently. Not sure if its available at retail stores yet..

If A.S.S is kept aside this looks better than Xperia C :wink:

it is now available for preorder in ebay..but the delivery will done after 1st Aug
and ya it has got killer looks..u can also check the dealers in india for it in its official website

but 15k spending on an unknown handset seems bad idea...will decide after checking it manually ....galaxy grand is now around 17k now...its more reliable..
in any case I will be buying between 5th-15th august...i hope to see reviews online..

If brand and service is not an issue, take a look at Alcatel One Touch Idol (should be around 11.5-12k)

is it risky to get a Chinese handset for 16k.....I am not rich enough to spend 16k on use and throw phones

else I will just bump up my budget to get xperia SP (coz of 4.6 inch display)

^If you can bump your budget then don't have second thoughts about SP. Don't put above 12k on Chinese handsets. Personally, I would rather be happy with a Pantech Burst.

I have similar thoughts

One of my relative is using Xolo Q800 without any issue. He says that Xolo is better than Karbonn, Micromax ...He used Karbonn A9+ and Canvas 2.

one thing I noticed that all of these handsets have an ugly looking camera bump behind....I didnt like that at all...while buying I am going to get the one which does not that that ugly bump behind...

it looks soo chineese with that ugly design
