Need advice for a buget level phone

Hello Friends,

I have zeroed down two handsets for a budget of 14k. Since there is no discount for Moto G4 Plus, I don't think that I will be going for it.

No Nougat update I suppose
Low processor as compared to Moto
No version of Corning Gorilla Glass mentioned anywhere
Production is stopped by Sammy AFAIK
Less Memory as compared to Moto

Price-11900/-

Moto Pros-
Octa processor
Full HD
Higher PPI

Cons-
IPS Display
No front flash LED
No OTG

Price- 10499(16gb), 11999(32gb)

I want to give Moto a try but the biggest things stopping me are IPS display and no OTG option. Moreover I have never used any Android device without a Samsung Touchwiz, which I personally think is cool, no offence to anyone. Any help?

Why not J5 bro? And I have budget only for G4, is it any good? I mean I am skeptical about IPS screen and it has no otg :(

If you want a good samsung phone, skip all except the flagships.

Go with either Moto G4+, Moto M or Zuk Z2 if budget allows.

Redmi Note 3 is a good option if you just want to flash a custom rom. MIUI is crap IMO.

Dont ever go with Redmi Note 3 as RMA is a problem and there is no upgrade path to Nougat 7.0

Yess Skip all samdung phones in budget variants.

Its flagships are some of the best with regard to specifications.

Go with Lenovo K6 Note,Lenovo K6 Power, Lenovo K6, Moto G4 Plus, Moto M, Lenovo Z2 Plus, Moto Z Play if budget permits.

All the above phones are best in their budget categories with brilliant specs.

Moto M & Lenovo Z2 Plus use DDR4 memory for RAM.

Good luck finding a good phone within 15k. Moto G4 doesn't have good camera or processor like G4 plus actually moto G4 plus processor is not great.

Moto M should be fine for this....This phone will be used to check mails, whatsapp, video calling and to play few games....

I own moto g4 plus. The phone works great since 6 months. Iam happy for it.
But a minor issue is that the phone randomly heats up on its own especially while browsing or after wifi tethering. While on the heating up duration the battery drain faster.

I suggest u not to choose this model.
Also the Chinese xiomi phones does not deserve its purpose. U can't rely on xiomi phones for long run.

I am a moto g4plus 32gb version user for the last 6months and I added 32gb microsd card. Some feedback on this phone.

It is a good phone with great performance and otg support as well. There are some apps in play store to make it explore my 32gb usb flash drive.

Cons are the phone heatsup randomly while browsing or tethering internet. And the camera gets delay while on hdr mode between snaps.

My feedback may help someone reading this...
