*1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')*
Ans:Hardcore gaming. Playing games like COD, Skyrim, BF3, Crysis, Metro, Nfs, Medal of Honour and GTA all maxed at 1080p res.

*2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.*
Ans:100-120k.

*3. Planning to overclock?*
Ans:Yes. But in future.

*4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?*
Ans:Win 7 & Win 8 dual boot.

*5. How much hard drive space is needed?*
Ans:1 tb will be suff + need ssd also.

*6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.*
Ans:Any 24 inc monitor with good response time.

*7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?*
Ans:I want to buy everything.

*8. When are you planning to buy the system?*
Ans:Within 15-20 days.

*9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?*
Ans:I have built a desktop before but this rig will be done by an assembler.

*10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?*
Ans:I live in Hubli but will be buyin components from computer warehouse(banglore) or locally. Online i will mainly prefer Flipkart and primeabgb.

*11. Anything else which you would like to say?*
Ans:I am new to this forum so treat me good. I want graphic card from nVidia. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Anand you missed the Display!!
It was highly based on your rig with some alterations, with no actual performance drop(barring the SSD bursts), keeping the budget and the display in consideration. But if he can leave the SSD aside for now and get the the i7 based core rig at that budget it will be better. An SSD can be added anytime later,IMO.

The cabinet is way too expensive and was Anand's personal preference. OP can opt for something else here(read low priced).
Same for PSU. I think a tx750 or a gs800 might work. HX850 seems like overkill.

And yes, we can skip the ssd. I dont mind waiting a few more seconds for os/game/app to load, to save 6-7k. :p

The cabinet and the PSU is one of the most important thing here since Crossfire was suggested and overclocking will be involved,a roomy cabinet goes a long way and the cabinet is probably the only item in this configuration which will last more than 2 builds,IMO.

I wouldnt suggest a GS800 for a HD7870 Crossfire set up at all. More over the GS 800 comes with only three years warranty and dosnt have an inspiring build quality. The TX 850 is more the way to go if he can do a proper cable management and the CM Storm Trooper provides enough space to do it. If he cant then an HX 750 should be the least. He has to leave some head room for the PSU after all the overclocking, fans, leds, HDDs etc etc,IMO.

The rig I configured was keeping in mind the upperlimits of his allocated budget (120K),but if he wants to keep it within Rs 100K,yes I will have to make some alterations.

IMO every 100k+ rig deserves something better than a cooler master evo.

Well I took the last one available in India with PrimeABGB. I don't think they have more, however they can arrange in like 1 month though and thats the reason I didn't mentioned it.

Anand you missed the Display!!

Well I am no expert in Display so didn't mentioned that. Better to skip rather than confusing OP with lame suggestions. I have BenQ G2420HD but with that budget he can easily get and IPS model and I would say go for IPS panel. :)

Well Cabinet is a personal choice and should be decided by OP himself, all we can do is give him alternatives and options. For example I hate NZXT for its design and many love it for the very same reason. For PSU if he is going Crossfire then TX850 would be minimum and he want modular then HX850 is minimum, so basically its upto OP.

A single card based rig is also an option, he can go for 7970 costing around 28.5K to 30K or he can opt for 7950 costing around 22K to 26K depending on the model. This is a suggestion provided his budget gets higher than he can afford or he can also go for a crossfire like me but with me I didn't had to buy Monitor costing around 15K which will have to be reduced from his budget. I think by Crossfire his budget would surely shoot. Completely personal take. :)

OP didn't stated his maximum budget, I mean the upper limit. Can he go beyond 120K or not.

UPS-APC 1100 VA
Monitor-LG D2342p Full 3d monitor

A little change here and there check if you like.

With the above config you are concentrating too much on accessories rather than robust core components like the CPU GPU RAM Motherboard PSU and Cabinet. Get them in order before going for expensive mechanical keyboards and mouse which can be upgraded in due time. But upgrading core components later will be futile. So better think before you buy.

Depends on the budget. See these
GPU Prices from Vedant.

If are going above 30K in GPU then it would be advisable to get a Multi-GPU setup if you can take the pain of optimization. If you want complete hassle free computing then Single GPU is the way to go. :)

At that rate the asus 7970 is a great deal.
It OCs nicely and can make up for the performance gap with the 7870 CF. I doubt the performance difference will be so obvious.
Hopefully later when the prices come down, purchase another and have a 7970 CF setup. That will last even longer.

No it can't. Read a lot about it before deciding to go with Crossfire. Also 7970 CF is highly unlikely as I don't think OP will upgrade in some months or under a year.

No matter how much you overclock a 7970 normal or matrix platinum, it cannot make a dent to the performance of a 7870 cf.
There is no closing the gap here because its too wide. 7870 cf simply gives the ultimate gaming experience at same price.

I didnt say the OC'd asus 7970 will beat the 7870 cf, but make up the gap(wrong choice of words up there).
My doubt was whether this gap is so obvious in the gameplay. For such a gap, I have read single card setups being recommended(except here ofcourse :p )

2x7870 vs 7970. Performance preset.
2x7870 vs 7970. Extreme preset
Did my best to match all other factors. Cant explain the results :|

On a side note, consider a time when an upgrade is required. In case of 7870 cf, both the cards have to be replaced while on the other hand, another 7970 (will be cheaper) can be added for a CF setup.

When after 2 years he would like to upgrade then Asus Matrix 7970 won't be available. In current scenario you have to wait for it, imagine after 2 years. Also at that time something better would be cheaper.

Y uall r suggesting ati amd graphic cards whereas nnvidia gtx 680 is a beast and we can take the full advantage of physx...
After the latest drivers 12.11 they have gained around 7-12% performance and so easily beats their respective Nvidia Counterparts. Also they are cheaper so better VFM, they have much higher DirectCompute.
As for Physx you can always add a another Low end Nvidia card which can act as a Physx card for you and your AMD card as your main GPU. :)

Yeah No problem. :)
Contact them and ask, they'll ship the products to you. Just tell them you got their reference from TDF and they'll understand. :p

See the thread Gaming Monitor at 15K for info about Monitor, I remember there was quite a discussion going down in that thread.

For GPU there is no competition between those two, get 7970 eyes closed, however if that card goes out of budget then you can also opt for Sapphire HD 7970 GHz edition as that card is also very good in performance.
Other than that your RIG looks real nice to me, well done. :)

Great build.
And I think you meant Corsair TX750V2UK.

For a monitor take a look at this
Dell 23 inch LED - U2312HM Monitor: Flipkart.com

Dell S2340L (23 incher)

Some Philips models also come with IPS panels and are cheaper.

For mouse go for Razer DeathAdder or Logitech G500 Programmable Gaming Mouse-OHJ | eBay
For Keyboard, I'd suggest you go for a Logitech G110. Logitech G110 Gaming Keyboard G 110 | eBay

The cost of G500 is too much there. You can easily get it for like 3.5K from Vedant Computers(including shipping). Contact them. :)
