wget suits me best, as it lightest & can run as a process

Question?

but how automactically open d/l when clicking on links from browser??

may be some mime thing to link firefox to open a terminal and wget -c(or in recursive mode) someone shud come up with such an idea.

meanwhile i use epiphany browser(mozilla gecko based) got extension to start downloads by gwget(so called gui for wget).
so for ff too this may be achievable.
