I'm looking for a PC for my cousin for school work. His father told me that the budget is maximum 20000 so what configuration would you guys suggest? I found this config from suggestion thread and I'd like to know if I can get some options which would help to bring down the total under 20k mark.

Local psu are fine for basic config  and op has some budget limit.

yups. but if somehow he is able to get hold on it, it is really a very good decision for the longevity. ;)

4 GB RAM is fine. remove the DVD writer and get a better monitor like Dell S2240L or 1 TB HDD

^ get a celeron / sempron proccy for cousin's well being, this will restrict him a lot from gaming, and hopefully he will spend more time in study. :D

costs more. require a compatible mobo and a good cooler for overclocking and hence makes the budget to go up. one does not need an unlocked processor for school work. no need to overclock either.

Is there any AMD combo that's cheaper?
